Girls Who Code Club
THE GIRLS WHO CODE club at St. John Brebeuf is part of a wider worldwide network of computing programming and coding clubs that has at its core, three fundamental principles:
- Coding - learning the concepts of loops, variables, conditionals and functions that form the basis of all computer programming.
- Sisterhood - belonging to a group of Girls Who Code- provides a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models where girls learn to see themselves as computer scientists, programmers, coders and STEM learners.
- Impact - working in teams to complete a computer science project that solves a real world/community problem.
